SOA has several Hovercrafts of different dimensions for professional use.

Beyond to the amphibious characteristics, other useful particularities in the development of a job are moreover present: when Hover4 is on the trailer or floating or on a surface, it can be used and is perfectly operating within a few seconds as a power unit which can feed several equipments in an independent way. Low consumption and the consequent operating autonomy, the maintenance facility, permit a drastic reduction of logistic problems.

The autonomy is of three or four motion hours in transfer, permitting the use for interventions, patrollings and controls of very extended areas. An operative unit composed by a off road vehicle, an Hover4 with its trailer and several additional equipments can make forehead to numerous emergencies: floods, rescue in sea and rivers, firefighting, environmental and road emergencies. Bound together and transported by an helicopter, can be placed in short times in the operating zone, and there can carry out its tasks, with very low operating costs. The mobility of an Hovercraft is obviously inferior to that one of an helicopter, but for against it can arrest indefinitely in zones with soft, inconsistent mud and can carry out workings or surveys that demand long times, or can patrol and carry out surveys in wooded narrow water courses.

Performances obtainable in particularly hostile environments, in overload, on the sea, with strong wind, are not obtained thanks to one single element, like the remarkable power of the motor, but from the contemporary presence of a very protective body tested against waves, from the balancing guidance which allows the conduction system standing or sitting, from the Dynamic Trim Control, from the heavy protection of the electrical system, of the filtration and the exhaust system, and from many particularities obtained through the constant use and research.

Some of the vehicles that we are using have to their assets several campaigns, from the survey in the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan, to the lake ecoenvironmentals treatments, the attendance for fluvial surveys (Oglio, Po), where the vehicles have been employed for months, with a use of 8/10 hours each day with normal maintenance treatment, sometimes even insufficient. The heavy constant use has moreover pointed out those elements more subordinated to stress and to potential damages, and the obtained indications have been taken into account in order to set-up vehicles with total performances without comparisons in their dimensional range. It is the exceptional affordability and ease of handling of these vehicles that allows us to offer to our Customers assistance in the most inaccessible zones.

Custom equipments

We can prepare special vehicles with equipments supplied by the Customer, or supply hulls in which can be inserted sensors and equipments, which could be coupled with the propulsive superior body in the necessity.
